AIAPGET Answer Key — Provisional vs Final & the Challenge Window

NTA publishes a provisional key with your recorded responses, opens a paid challenge window, then scores everyone off the final key. Here is how to play it.

Provisional key, question paper, and recorded responses

A few days after the exam, NTA uploads the provisional answer key along with the question paper and each candidate’s recorded responses on the portal login. This is your only window to audit the paper before scoring is frozen.

  • Download your recorded-response sheet first — it is the document your score is computed from.
  • Estimate your raw score with the real marking: +4 correct, −1 wrong, 0 unattempted.
  • Flag questions where the provisional answer conflicts with standard Samhita or textbook references.

How to challenge the provisional key

NTA opens a short online challenge window on the same login. Each challenged question costs a non-refundable fee (amount announced per cycle), paid per question.

  • Log in, select the question ID, and mark the answer you claim is correct.
  • Upload supporting evidence — standard textbook or Samhita references with clear citations work best.
  • Pay the per-question challenge fee; save the payment receipt.
  • Subject experts review challenges; accepted ones update the final key for all candidates.

Final key → scorecard: the closed loop

After review, NTA publishes the final answer key and computes results exclusively from it. There is no re-evaluation request after the result — the challenge window is the only correction mechanism that exists.

  • If your challenge is accepted, every candidate benefits — challenges are collective fixes, not personal favours.
  • Compare your estimated score with the qualifying marks reference (2026: UR/EWS 115, OBC/SC/ST 97) to gauge standing early.
  • Use the gap between provisional and result to plan counselling choices, not to spiral.

FAQs — AIAPGET answer key

Where is the AIAPGET answer key published?+

On the NTA portal at exams.nta.nic.in, behind your application login — provisional key, question paper, and recorded responses appear together.

How much is the AIAPGET answer-key challenge fee?+

NTA announces a per-question, non-refundable fee in each cycle’s bulletin. Verify the current amount on the portal — it can change between cycles.

What evidence works for an AIAPGET answer-key challenge?+

Clear citations from standard textbooks and Samhitas — chapter, verse, and edition where possible. Vague references or coaching notes carry little weight.

Does challenging the answer key guarantee a correction?+

No. Subject experts review each challenge; only upheld ones change the final key. The fee is non-refundable either way.

When does the final AIAPGET answer key come out?+

After the challenge window closes and review completes — typically alongside or just before the result declaration (2026 cycle: result on Sep 18).
